Good morning everyone. Imagine this! Two new posts in less than 24 hours! I'm on a roll! I finally got a good nights sleep, and an encouraging phone call from my producer telling me that he wants me to come hear the mix-downs for the record tonight. Friggin awesome, I cannot wait. By the way, if you want a copy of the 3 track, just e-mail me and I will work something out with you. Well, I just wanted to post to say I have cleaned things up around the site a little. The links to your left have been updated as you can see. Go check them out if you have not yet done so. Time for this little Farmer to get ready for his day. Peace...

Well ladies and gentlemen, the time since my last post has flown by very quickly... Not Lenny is now out of the studio, and in post-production. The yet-to-be-named three track will be completed in a few days. It has been a lot of fun in the studio for the last two and a half weeks. The inside jokes that have been spawned will be a part of NL-lore for years to come. Everything from our lisping at each other from the booth to the studio, our "black" talk, and eating Chips-Ahoy and drinking Coke till all the nights recordings were done. It was a blast, but I am glad I get to rest now. For the next three weeks, Nick and Keagan will be in Europe. But upon the return of the two jazz-nuts, NL will be returning to studio for awhile to do a few more songs. Ahh... the recording process... I think I better stock up on sanity while I can... Apart from the recording, I have just been working my butt off at the shop. I must say, my customers are quite a colorful bunch. From the sterotypical flamer who wears a beret and orders a triple grande, double cupped, no sleeve, nonfat, 3 sweet&low caramel machiatto, to the man who is in a prog rock band which is fronted by a homosexual evangenlical minister who has a Ph.D. in philosiphy AND is a habitual hasheesh smoker. Well, needless to say they keep my work interesting. The people I work with are great too. But it seems each person has their own insecurity or mental issue. Kinda like Empire Records but with coffee. There's the hot chick who think she is ugly, the other hot chick who thinks she is the shit, the masculine Italian, the nut with the big mouth, the soulful Latina gal, the quiet Asian, the dorky white guy, etc.... They are all awesome though. Not a bad one in the bunch. I just wonder where I fit in. What short "one-liner" generalization do I fit under? Hey, you tell me!
Well everyone, I am tired and I am going to go watch a movie and probably fall asleep on the couch. Gotta love summer. Here is your linkage for the day.
Homestar Runner, home of STRONGBAD!
Just trust me and go check it out. You probably have seen it before anyways. Funny stuff, got me through those late nights at home after studio when I needed something to relax me before bed... Peace....

Sorry Daily Farmerians... Been really busy lately with the recording of Not Lenny's new 3 track preview of the upcoming album. If you did not know, I am the guitarist/vocalist (sharing vocal duties with Nick) for this badass group of psychos. It is truly awesome to be in this band, let me tell ya. I have been an NL fan since they started back 3-4 years ago. In that time I learned a pretty mean ska/punk guitar with the help of my 12 string acoustic and my Squire, so Nick, my old bud, recruited me for this project. And now I guess I am a permanent member of the ensemble. I must say it is a blast. The late sessions at Dave's house with Matt drumming his brains out (yes, the very same Matt and Dave from the former band 5606) are way too much fun. Being in the studio and having Nick, Matt and Dave cracking dirty jokes at me through the headphones while being wired up on Starbucks, gotta love it. Allof them have fucking kicked ass in their own respective departments. Matt has thrown down some seriously sweet drum tracks for me to play over. Dave has been obsessing about as much as me and Nick when it comes to producing this thing. And a thank you also goes out to Chris from my band One Year Stand for letting me borrow his Marshall VS100 and his Crate 4x12 cabinet to get the sound I wanted for my guitar tracks. Gracias dude... I am almost done with the guitar tracks. About 60% done I would say.... Now its time to stress about the vocals with Nick. But they are coming out great. If you happen to get a copy of this, you will love a song called Slim Chance. It is truly awesome. Anyways, enough about NL...
Life is good in this hood. Busy though, the album and 35 hour weeks at work have really taken their toll on me. It is so much fun to be busy though. I really feel like I am in such an awesome groove right now. Working with some awesome peeps, the off to record and have a laugh or twenty at Dave's, then late nite vocal sessions with Nick (laden with my own unique sense of humor and Nick's random spaz-outs). This is what summer is truly all about. I am happier than I have ever been, and I can safely say that. I must admit though, I have a busy day ahead of me, so I must be going. But for today, we have a very special link of the day for you...
The Incomparable MARA McWILLIAMS
This is a woman who is a regular at my Starbucks. She is also one of the most artistically talented people I have ever met. I was seriously moved by her work, and I insist that you go and check this out. Have a great day all of you!! And thank you to Mara and my good ol' buddy Kat from NY for the words of love in my email. I would love to hear from more of you if you get time! So from me to you, a resounding "peace...."

What's up my little sheep, its The Farmer... Today is lookin like another day in paradise as I have the day off work, and I am free to do whatever the hell I want until rehearsal tonight at 7. In homage to Office Space... "Damn it feels good to be a gansta..."
Well look at that, empty email box.... Man, I feel unloved. Wanna change that? Anyways...
I know that all of you have had at least one moment in your lives where you heard something you really did not want to hear, or saw something that you really did not want to see. Ladies and gentlemen, yesterday I experienced both. I have mentioned my eldest brother Pat on more than one occasion. From his drunken camping in our back yard, to his devious plans for my 21st birthday, he has been a fan favorite in this column. Well, I aim to please.
I had just gotten out of the shower yesterday when all of a sudden, the phone rings... Its Pat, asking me if there are any messages on the answering machine for him. I tell him no, and his reply is to begin moaning and groaning... Of course, I think the worst. Usually I am wrong when I think in this direction... but this is Pat we are talking about here. I hear his girlfriend's somewhat muffled giggle in the background, and I am officially creeped out. I have now heard my brother getting off over the phone... I feel so violated.... To make things worse, he comes over later, with his girlfriend. They are watching TV when a Viagra commercial comes on. His girl turns towards him and says, "You'll never need that stuff baby." Ok, fuck it, I am outta here... But before I go vomit.... Here is some linkage for you...
SHAMELESS PLUG!!!
heres NOT LENNY!
Thats one of my bands, this site is from before I was in the band. So be nice..... just playing Nook...
Peace.....

The Daily Farmer hath returned, faithful readers! I am sleeping much better since the depaturture of the doves from my window. I guess hours upon hours of Rage Against The Machine finally took their toll on the little bastards. I mean honestly, how many times can YOU stand hearing "Bulls on Parade"? Heehee, I am an evil little boy...
So.. yeah... how ya been? Lemme know... dead serious... EMAIL ME DAMMIT!!! Hope yaal are having a fun and at least semi-safe summer. That "semi-safe" is for all of you UCSC crazies... Huh? What's that? How am I? Ohhh! I am just fine. Got a girl, been partying it up, and have been busy planning stuff for later in the summer. My 21st birthday is in less than two months. My brothers and their friends have promised me that I will not be able to think straight that night. Heaven help me... Soon after that I will be on my way to San Diego to see my best bud Hannah, and party it up with her, (since she will be turning 21 a week before me). Then its back home to await the arrival of Kat from NY. Gonna show her how we CALI PEEPS party it up.... That reminds me, I gotta stock the fridge... I guess I have time... It is going to be one hell of a summer. I just hope that my band can finally get off the ground here. That's my goal for the summer. Let us see... what else is on the docket?
I am now working at a new store, PRAISE TO GOD!! It is really busy there, but the staff is friggin awesome. Lots of fun, lots of energy. Well, what do you expect from a bunch of 18-26 year olds hopped up on sugar and caffeine in a closed space. Hmm note to self, ask manager for padded walls... Ohh crap, speaking of work, I have to be jammin. Here is some linkage for ya...
Bill and Ted (no, not the Excellent Adventure ones...)
This is just about the funniest thing I have ever seen. This was on The Romp before it shut down... Danny and I used to watch this shit in place of Saturday morning cartoons while eating breakfast omlettes from Monty's back at SDSU. Ahh, those were the days...
I hope you all are havin a blast. I am DEAD FRIGGIN SERIOUS when I tell ya to email me. I wanna hear what crazy kinda nights you all are havin.... even if I know you. First one to email me gets a secret prize!! Till then... Peace...
