It Starts
Well, here we go. Yet again I find myself on campus, clicking away at a library terminal to kill time before my next class. School has begun...
It was a great summer though. From rehearsals and performances of Seven Brides, to rekindling a friendship which turned into love, I must say I had a helluva time. Ohh, on the subject of Seven Brides...
Without looking back at old posts, I can't remember if I had mentioned that I was up for an ERMA Award for Best Leading Actor for the role of Adam. Well, I was. And since you have either already heard it or have already assumed by my even mentioning it; yes, I won! I am pretty stoked, but at the same time I am sort of shocked. I didn't expect to win at all. Add to the joy of winning that Megan won Best Leading Actress and Seven Brides won Best Show! Feels damn good. The awards ceremony was a blast too. I got to perform along with all the other nominees and a few other cast members from the shows.
Geri Carlson-Sauls, my director for JCS, performed "Don Juan" from SMOKEY JOES CAFE among others. Rockin... And Megan pulled out "I Enjoy Being A Girl" and "Hound Dog" from FLOWER DRUM SONG and SMOKEY JOES respectively. I got to do "It Only Takes A Moment" from HELLO DOLLY which I turned into a little serenade for Nicole who looked ravishing in her blue evening gown. I also did "Love Never Goes Away" and "Sobbin' Women" from SEVEN BRIDES, as well as "Worlds Apart" from BIG RIVER and a little backup singing for "On Broadway" from SMOKEY JOES. Great night... Got to see a lot of old cast members from DOLLY and CHORUS LINE, and had so much fun performing the old songs and some new ones. It has been a great year. While I'm at it, here is a list of who else won...
Best Character Actor: Tony Feenan as Barnaby Tucker in HELLO DOLLY
Best Character Actress: Geri Carlson-Sauls as Sheila Bryant in A CHORUS LINE
Best Supporting Actor: Michael MacLaren as Cornelius Hackl in HELLO DOLLY
Best Supporting Actress: Donna Rappa-Olsen as Diana Morales in A CHORUS LINE
Congrats to all of you if you happen to read this!
Now its back to school, crashing classes, stressing out over papers, and wishing SJSU was across from De Anza so I could have lunch with Nicole. Yeah, I know... "Awwwww..."
Whatever, I mean it.
So for now, that does it. Have a good one. Peace...

One More Thing...
Back at San Diego State when I was living in the dorms. There was this girl, who I swear has the most, err... um... "unique" laugh on Earth. So, one day I made a point of turning on my monitor microphone on my PC, and saying something really dumb to make her laugh. The results are comedy gold...
All I ask is that you right click and click "save target as" to avoid repeated steaming from my site and sucking up my bandwidth from my host. Thank you!

Enjoy. Peace...

Changes
It's amazing how much can change in such a short amount of time. In a matter of only about two months, so much in my life has dramatically changed. I had my first lead in a show that ran very well and sold out most of our performances, and I am nominated for a Best Actor award for the role. I met a woman who I love dearly and I am extremely happy with. I rekindled friendships with some old friends from my distant past. I have bid farewell to several people that weren't making me happy in my life. I have seen my hard work pay off on so many different things. I have learned to trust again. And most of all; my perspective on the world around me is finally coming into focus a little more. Control is mine again. Feels good.
On top of all of this, I have had a damn fun summer! I am having a blast with my lady, enjoying Jesus Christ Superstar in a very personal way. Ohh yes, about that...
This show is becoming a very intense personal battle for me. For those of you who have known me for awhile, the Catholic faith was once something I embraced, but I became a bit estranged from it a few years ago. With the happenings of this summer, (both good and bad), and the intense portrayal of this story in the show, something has woken up inside me. I don't know what. But I am definately feeling something different. I don't know what it is yet, but we shall see.
In other news, life continues just as always. I actually got my room clean... GASP! And for some strange reason, I feel myself looking forward to school. Wow, never thought I would say that. I guess I just can't wait to learn more about acting and the such. I learned so much in a semester and it all payed off in Seven Brides. Who knows where it will take me next if I am dilligent in my studies?!
As for today, I have errands to do, rehearsal to hit up, and meteors to watch tonight with Nicole. Ohh, you may have noticed the new Less Than Jake CD is currently adorning the "rocking out" section to the left. They released that about a month ago, and I am really diggin it. It's got the Anthem flavor, but a bit rougher and harder. More ska too... Not my fave, but I like it. Shit... anything is better than Borders And Boundaries... Thats it for now folks. Peace...

Wired
I am a happy little Farmer right now. I have just gotten a new phone, after having my old Nokia 5500 series for something like two and a half years. Now I have a bitchin' little Samsung flip phone with color screen, polyphonic ringer, and all this other kewl gadjitery. I am totally diggin' it. I got me a nice little Less Than Jake ringtone, and best of all; a headset. Yeah... My phone rocks.
Other than that. Life has been very nice the past few days. A great weekend of playing music, chilling with Dave, seeing my lady here and there. Unfortunately, I also spent it being pretty tired, and seeing my room not get much cleaner after vowing to clean it for god-knows-how-long.
As for other things around here, life with Nicole rocks. We are going to be checkin' out the Winchester Mystery House Midnight flashlight tour this Friday the 13th.
Mwahahaa... Sorry... I'll stop now...
Okay. Lets see; bling phone, music fun, "ooga-booga" night. That about covers it. Well, I will leave you for now. Take care, and drop me a line. Peace...
