New Noise

Such a happy Farmer today. Got a BUNCH of new music thanks to the magical BMG-Fairy! Yellowcard, two Green Day's, Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith, Save Ferris, Jason Mraz, Velvet Revolver and Hoobastank. That's 11 new CD's over the past three days. Totally happy right now. I haven't had such a flux of new music since last Christmas when I got all those CD's from my brother's fiancee. And this isn't the end...

I still have five more CD's on their way to me, including one LTJ CD for Niamh which I just found out her best friend ALREADY bought for her. But its all good. Since I cannot return my CD, she and her friend are going to return their copy and pick something else. Thanks Niamh and SORRY BECKY!!! I owe that girl a ice cream sundae covered in Baileys.

Well that does it for now folks. If I don't update tomorrow, have a fun and safe New Year's! Peace...

Back To Normal

Well, my time as the benefactor of OddTodd's popularity has ended. I even got a few extra days out of it. It was nice to see my site getting 100-200+ hits a day. But now, its back to my faithful 20 or so readers, and hopefully a few more new ones after all that exposure. Over 1100 hits thanks to him. His link is in the links section, be sure to check him out if you haven't.

Gotta dash folks. Lots to do today, as usual. Be sure to email me if you want the MP3 of my first single. Peace...

Breaking Through

It has finally happened. I have a recording of my first single! If you want a FREE MP3 just email me and I will email it to you. It came out really great, thanks to the laborious efforts of my buddy and producer Dave Leventhal. This man has a magic touch.

In other music news, I did a little shopping yesterday, and am currently enjoying the new U2 album. Very impressive. It has a power that doesn't have to come from heavy instrumentalization. I highly suggest you get it... "Love And Peace Or Else" is a stand out song with a late 60's political-music edge to it. I feel like I should be fighting against the man... I also picked up the new Green Day. Not bad. Well mixed, definately breaks new ground for the band. It has been interesting to hear them mature.

As for today, I have to continue tending to a freak job cocker spaniel for my old director. This mutt has reaffirmed my love of cats. Not that he is a pain, but he does have a penchant for waking me up at 4am by throwing up in the bed. Yeah... Not exactly the post-Christmas vacation I wanted. But hey, it was a good time here with all the families eating, drinking, eating more, drinking more...

Well, time for me to get a little work done around here. Be sure to email me if you want that MP3! Peace...

Mon-ay Is Good

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. Yours truly walked away with some cash, and a box of fudge-covered Oreos. Good times. And on top of that, my Niamh made me an awesome collage of pictures of she and I. Very good year indeed.

Sorry for all the short updates folks, but with the end of the year upon us, I am swamped. This one is going to have to end here too. Stay tuned though. Tomorrow:

House sitting with a spaz cocker-spaniel...
An Irishman, a Spaniard and a Jew walk into a bar...
And much more!

Off to get some post-holiday errands done. Ohh, and thanks to OddTodd for still having me up as his Sunday Blogger! I guess I am just doing that good of a job! Well, aside from short updates lately. Big one tomorrow folks! Peace...

For The Last Time...

Attention ALL SRILANKANS:

There is NO PORN ON THIS SITE! NONE! I HAVE NO SRILANKAN PORN!

Boy, never thought I would have an occasion to say that in my lifetime. Merry Christmas to everyone except Srilankan perverts. Peace...
Crap

So much to do. So little time. I hope you all can sympathize since I won't be doing a full update today. Have a great Christmas everyone. And look for an update tomorrow... Peace...

Starting Strong

You know it will be a good day when your morning begins with a little Catch-22. Nothing like some double-time punk/ska to start off...

Today is going to be a busy day for sure. Finishing getting ready for Saturday. Which means cleaning, rehooking up my PlayStation so the kidlets can have something to do... Oi vey. But for right now, it is time to grab a bite to eat and get going. I am off to see my Niamh before she leaves for Santa Barbara for the weekend.

Hmm lets see. What about you guys? I gotta leave you with some funny picture or cool link... Hmm. Well, actually. I am going to ask something of all of you.

I wanna get the word out about this site a little, and would love a button ad (something about the size of the OddTodd or Weebl&Bob ones I have in the links section), but I suck at design. Someone wanna design a little something for me? If you do and I choose it, I will plug anything you want on this site. Your blog, your band, just about anything as long as its appropriate. Email me your submissions at thedailyfarmer@msn.com.

Thats all folks. CAM update later today. Have a good one. Peace...

Quickie 4, The Holiday Edition

Gotta make this one fast. A ton to do today.

Going to see Denise, do some shopping, then party with the Schniders and the ol' skool youth group friends. Good times.

Had fun caroling with the Tiptons last night, with my lady by my side. :) Good times, good food, lotsa drink... That's it folks! Here is something to keep yourselves occupied. Peace...

Only Four Shopping Days...

Thankfully, this year it isn't so bad. Only a few gifts to get, and I can avoid the utter HELL that is Valley Fair Mall. There are advantages to being a poor actor: People don't expect you to get them crap.

Again, to you OddTodd-ers who are coming by: Welcome! To you regulars... thanks for supporting yours truly. The updates are coming fast and furious, so lets keep it coming.

With all the traffic I have been getting, thanks to Todd, I have noticed some hits from some rather interesting places.

The U.S. House Of Representatives- Don't you guys have better things to do?
Sri Lanka, from searches looking for "sexy srilankan girls"- Just seeing that makes me feel like I need a shower...
University Of California, President's Office- Don't really quite know what to say about that one...
Other random countries- U.S.A., Canada and the UK are 1,2,3. Followed by Sri Lanka (apparently all perverts), United Arab Emirates (why???), and Austrailia (friends of Chris Tann?).

Speaking of that crazy Aussie, I hope he is having a blast in Hawaii. Lucky bugger. At least he knows how to dress.

Well thats all for today. Get your shopping done, and give the world a break; Don't drive like an ass. Peace...

Smilin'

Man, only 10am, and this has already been a kickass day. Voice doctor says I am all good to go, getting phatty traffic on the site thanks to Todd, and I have hot apple pie. Hell yeah. Moving on...

Like I promised, here is Todd's Christmas Special for this year. Hot and fresh outta the oven. Like my pie. Mmm... pie.

OddTodd's Christmas Special 2004

Todd, this pie is for you...

Anyways. So yeah, that woman I linked to yesterday, is a rock star.

Deni Bonet

Yep. Bonafide rockstar. This woman has played with Cyndi Lauper, REM, Sarah McLaughlin... Damn. Truly impressive. Scroll on down to the previous post to see, or check the links section. Her whole site is worth a gander, not just the blog. Be sure to check out her music clips, and buy her new album! Totally dig what she has got going on. Deni, may a borrow a cup of talent?

Well that is it for today folks. Peace...

Wishing This Made Mon-ay

Wow, thanks to Todd over at...

for making me his Sunday Blogger. I have gotten such a phatty amount of traffic that my host for my background image has overloaded. It seems to refresh every hour if it does overload, so come back in an hour if it isn't there! I tried to switch the image over to my hosting company, but for some bizarre reason, it won't work when I host it. Gonna sick the techies on this one. If you know how to fix this, (and have an open source browser to look at my html), I am open to suggestions! Email link is on the left.

But to all of you who are coming in from OddTodd, WELCOME! Take a look around, and feel free to email me with links to your blog and comments and such. And ironically, you all came at an opportune moment...

Ladies and gentlemen, the latest addition to The Daily Farmer: Farmer Quotes

Wow. Ain't that sumthin. If you don't see it, its on the left, scroll down a bit. Past the CAM, no no... little further... past Rocking Out... Ahh. There you go. Yeah. Well, I hope I can fix the background thingy fast! Come by again sometime if it isn't showing right now, so you can see what it should look like. Alrighty? Thanks Todd! And just to keep the love going, here is the link to last weeks Sunday Blogger.

Last Girl On Earth

Like her site mucho. Hey, shes in NYC, where I hope to be someday! Maybe she can plug me into the music scene around there. Peace...

Cry "Freedom"

On this morning, I am rocking out to Rage Against The Machine in celebration of my FREEDOM from SJSU for the next seven weeks. My joy has sparked a full update to the site. Take a look at FarmerCam and Rockin' Out. But for now...

My last paper is done, and I am about to go turn it in, and kiss the campus goodbye for the winter. For all of you who are done too, here is a little resource for you to get some revenge on a professor you hate, or research some you may want to have next semester.

RateMyProfessor.com

Check it out, I have personally rated all my theatre teachers at SJSU.

And now its on to the Christmas season. To get you in the mood, here is a little treat from Todd. I know, its last years card, but he is diligently working on his newest one for this year. I will post a link when he is done with it.

Me gusta mucho. I am off to campus. Peace...

Back In The 'Den

After a week downtown apartment sitting, I am back home as of last night. I will admit, I am sorta bummed this morning. I was extremely bummed last night...

I miss having my own place like I had that apartment. Having to take care of myself for everything, running on my own time, being responsible for everything. I enjoyed it. Add to that, I got to spend a lot of time with Nicole downtown, enjoying dining out, ice skating, taking walks, and just being together. It was wonderful. Thank you Niamh for keeping me company.

For now, its time to finish off my last take home final, and declare freedom! This morning though, I have gotten off to a rather slow start. I have been cleaning up my compy and updating things a bit. Changed from Opera to MozillaFirefox, updated the ol' Trillian skin, and a new desktop background thanks to Digital Blasphemy. Ahh, so fresh.

Well, I better get some food, and get to work. Lots to do today. Peace...

Downtown Farmer

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. I am currently staying downtown across from SJSU, apartment sitting for a friend. The place is very nice, and being close to campus is convenient. Free parking in an underground, gated garage is also very nice! I will be there till next Wednesday, so gimme a call if you are downtown and wanna hook up!

Anyways, like I said, the place is great. But that isn't saying anything about the denizens of the apartment itself. I am not just staying there, I am also taking care of a black lab named Charley, and two cats named Pogo and Princess. The cats are cool. They just laze around all day, poke their heads in the room and see if I am still around, and Pogo has actually taken a liking to me. Princess is totally skittish, so I rarely see her. Then... there's Charley.

This canine has made it his mission to keep me from sleeping. He needs to be walked five times a day (spoiled mutt), and has made a point of waking me up at INSANE hours of the night to do so. 3am, 4am, anytime I am sleeping... He is a cool dog in general; don't get me wrong. But he has got to learn a few things:

~Disturb not ye who sleeps, lest ye be disturbed thyself.
~Tempt not the anger of the man who feeds ye.
~Eat not the food of the feline, or face the wrath of Farmer.

My plan today is to wear him out on our walks so maybe he will let me sleep tonight. We shall see.

Other than my new temporary digs, life goes on as usual. I am almost done with finals, having finished my Jazz, Tap, and part of my Theatre Appreciation finals. I just have a take home test for the latter of those classes, and thats all folks! You have no idea how happy I am. But for now, I am going to check the old email, and take care of a little biz-nass. No compy at the apartment... Peace.

P.s. Added the link to STEP in the links section. If you are totally blind and or new to T.D.F., STEP is the Student Touring Ensemble Program at SJSU. We tour local schools, and even not so local ones (Scotland, South Africa...) Cool pics of the cast. Check it out. Peace...

And Again...

Well, it looks like my break has gone from 2 months, down to about six weeks...

I have just been cast in WVLO's production of Smokey Joe's Cafe! Did the audition on a whim, and actually got a part. Its only nine people in the cast, so every role is basically a lead. Don't know what part I got, but hey I am happy anyways!

Gotta go study for finals. Peace...

Another Curtain Closes

Here we go into the closing weekend of Big River. I will miss the people a bunch, but I will probably end up doing more shows with them in the future. To all of you haven't seen it yet, get your lazy asses out there. Especially those of you who have punked out on me so many times before...

In other news, life is busy as hell with finals coming up. Thankfully I don't have any real "tests". I just have some little projects and performances for my dance classes and my theatre appreciation class. Hard, but at least its not a matter of studying. Just rehearsals and such...

Life with Niamh is great as usual. Been spending as much time with her as I can, which as of late has been rather hard with all the work I have been doing. But vacation is just on the horizon. I definately miss pinching her cheeks. She just loves it when I do that. (Sorry, Niamh. I told you I would do it...)

Well, time to clean and rest my ankle for tonight. Jacked it up in Jazz class. Oi vey. Peace...
